John Guidetti: 20 goals and 6 assists in 23 for Feyenoord

Re: John Guidetti: 18 goals and 5 assists in 19 for Feyenoord

Still think a one year loan at a PL club would improve him drastically. Or would show where he really is.
Welbeck, Sturridge, Wilshere all had their loan season before being part of their current team.
PL experience is key.
On the other hand he cant really be even our 4th choice striker, how?
Sell Tevez, get back Guidetti? We would go after Cavani at least if we sell Tevez...
Dzeko out, Guidetti in? Dzeko is lot better now.

At Chelsea Lukaku is as great talent as Guidetti but he never even gets on the bench. At United Welbeck/Cicamicarito have PL experience and they usually play or get on from bench but for this the 30 m Berbatov usually just sits out the whole season.

At City no one would sit as much for Guidetti as Berbatov.

Tevez is the most possible player to leave, but we already see Mancini is watching Hazard.

I thought the interview was very positive, he's not trying to force anything he's just being honest. He's loving it at Feyenoord and they adore him, so why would he want to come here to be a bit part player? he's hungry and that's a good thing.

Hopefully he can get a loan move to a prem club and show what he can do

Does anyone else think hes starting to act like a twat? Hes trying to force city's hand here.

While he is good, he must accept that he is still young so must still be patient. He will still get 20 games next season, im nust not sure how many as a starter.

But if he doesnt want 20 games and premier league winners medal at the age of 20, there is something wrong with him

Ofc he would be ok with that but look at Lukaku he is in the same situation he is like 4th and he not playing at all. He is often on the bench but allways Drogba and Torres infront of him allways playing. So are you sure he would get 20 games as managers allways seems to play the best players I doubt he would get 20 games, that would be if he proves being better then Dzeko.
Best would be give him a full season on loan to a team like Swansea. 15+ goals and he can come back.

Also with Zlatan and Elmander being 30~ years old he got a good chance of taking a place in the swedish national team in world cup qualifications, then he can´t be sitting on the bench all the time. As he have to produce lots of goals to be picked.

Re: John Guidetti: 18 goals and 5 assists in 19 for Feyenoord

Definitely one to watch in the future but I don't think we'd be able to offer him first team football as soon as next season. If he'd accept a loan move in the prem league then that would be perfect if not it looks like he'd probably have to go.

Re: John Guidetti: 18 goals and 5 assists in 19 for Feyenoord

Sell him, get decent cash for him now, add a 25 per cent sell-on clause, a first-option.

That way, it's all down to him to back his supposed ability.

We have £25m strikers who are forced to accept third or fourth choice, this kid should be grateful if we entertained him as part of that equation.

Fantastic result for Feyenoord. The Eredivisie is looking extremly tight after todays results. AZ have a late kick off so they will probably go 3 points clear. FC Twente also have a game in hand.

1 AJAX 26 52 Ch.Lg
2 AZ ALKMAAR 25 52 Ch.Lg QF
3 PSV 26 51 UEFA Euro.Lg.
4 TWENTE 25 48 UEFA Euro.Lg.
5 FEYENOORD 26 48 P.OFF
6 HEERENVEEN 26 48 P.OFF

Why did it say P.OFF?

We have play-offs in Holland. 5th to 9th place play for one Europa League ticket to make the league more exciting. Before this rule teams that are 9th in the table had nothing to play for.. Now they compete for Europe..

What are the chances of Feyenoord finishing 4th or higher? Do they have a relatively easy (or hard) run in?
Are Ajax likely to drop any more points this season?
