John Guidetti to sign for Twente next week

Hm that last bit is interesting, could just be made up though. Mancini has been saying how he wants a 4th striker though, maybe he has decided Guidetti would be a good 4/5th option?

I don't see how the dutch league is better than the English one but it is down to the little swedish Judas so go to Twente and be a big fish in a small pond, I thought he had more about him but I was wrong

We're going to have a lot of young starlets leave us. We're a big club now with premier strikers. At this point Guidetti would have to usurp Dzeko, Balotelli and Adebayor to win a spot on the bench in our single striker setup.

Well he hasnt turned up to pre season training according to Twente so maybe something has happened and we could have a similar situation the the John Obi Mikel one. I know its not exactly like that transfer but seems a bit weird if Twente have signed him but hes failed to turn up and reports we want him back.

Swedish papers (DN, Expressen) are reporting that City and Twente are in disagreement about JG. City and Guidetti are saying the pre-contract he signed isn't valid and Twente are saying that it is.
He is supposed to have visited Twente in early Jun with his dad, but without his agent, and signed a pre-nup with the dutch. Now it seems City and Guidetti have reached an agreement and he wants to stay. The papers are saying he didn't turn up for training today.

It seems to hang on whether the agent being absent is crucial to the validity of the contract or not. City and Twente are apparently in discussions with their respective lawyers.

Great news if he stays, it will probably mean he gets some guaranteed match time or at worst a decent loan move.

Depends what he signed, plus without legal representation at the time there may grounds to nullify it.

Its weird thats for sure.

I hope we manage to keep him thats for sure. He would make an excellent 4th striker.
