Very risky, this guy could special or the new Bendtner, I would give him a loan move to a prem club and see how he does. 6 million is nothing for us financially.

Don't think we have a choice other than to sell him if he won't extend.

I hope people take notice of this post instead of just mindlessly whingeing on.

When can we test him ? He's been unavailable. He's not better than any of our current 4 strikers so he can't start games in the Prem.

What can we do ? If we keep him & stick him on the bench, his career suffers & he walks out. If we loan him, his contract ends & he walks out.

We can offer him a new deal for big money, without ever seeing him play a proper game in the 1st team, lose him by benching him, lose him by loaning him or sell him.

None of the options are ideal. It's just tough shit. We have to choose one.
Potentially he could be better than Dzeko but we wont know unless we give a loan move, has he got 2 or 3 years left on his contract? If its 2 then why not a 3 month loan move to see how he does playing in the prem.

I'm pretty sure no prem club that would give him ample playing time would agree to a 3 month deal.

I really hope City keep Guidetti,
Dzeko not good enough, not fast enough, Tevez 28yrs old......
Guidetti should get the chance in near future,
Moreover, City keep lower expense than before (because UEFA Financial Fair Play Rules)
I think he will get chance in our future plan. We need him.

Probably reading a bit too much into it, but in his press conference today Bobby referenced Guidetti when talking about injuries regarding the first team. Does that mean he considers him a first teamer?

Agent reveals 15 clubs chasing Manchester City striker Guidetti
The representative of the highly rated Sweden international has revealed that a host of teams have contacted the Premier League champions with a view to buying the 20-year-old

Manchester City striker John Guidetti is wanted by 15 clubs, according to the player's representative, Per Jonsson.

The Sweden international shone last season during a loan spell with Dutch giants Feyenoord, netting 20 goals and grabbing eight assists in just 23 Eredivisie appearances.

Unsurprisingly, the 20-year-old's performances caught the eye of several clubs and Jonsson has confirmed that Roberto Mancini's side are currently in negotiations over an exit.

"There are 15 clubs who have enquired about the options for John," the agent told Sportbladet.

"Right now there are negotiations with City. It's up to them, but I believe everything will work out in the end."

However, Jonsson went on to downplay reports of his client potentially moving to Serie A to join recently promoted Siena.

"I have daily contact with John and his father, Mike. Mike was annoyed when I talked to him," he added.

“When he read the news of Siena he asked: 'What the hell is this?' They know more than I do."

If there are actually 15 clubs chasing him, shouldn't we be looking for a 20-25 million pounds fee?

why sell cheap. give him a shot, make him extend.

Ah yes the Vancouver game... pause after the SWP beauty strike and u can see me in the Poznan, big dummy dead centre wearing the Tevez shirt :)

You don't score 3 consecutive hat tricks unless you have something special!

He also tweeted a picture yesterday of him playing for City with the caption "one dream, one goal" so looks like he's fully committed.

The Feyenoord fans loved him last season, so much so that when they cemented 2nd place they carried him on their shoulders from his house to the stadium! I would be gutted if he left because he really is a special talent.

We shall see. He's contracted til 2014 so I don't see why he really needs to at the moment.
