Yep, a sad loss. Wouldn’t say he was the star though (surely David Hyde Pierce as Niles took that accolade), but he was part of a great ensemble cast and brought pleasure to millions. RIP

Yep, fair comment. Just think John Mahoney had that mischievous aspect in his character that worked so well.

I'm sure that I read somewhere that he was a City fan
At the time I couldn't understand why a well known American actor would be a City fan, but when I saw that he was born and raised in Manchester it made alot more sense.
