John Robertson, great Forest winger, Rest in Peace

John was some player who defied science. Wee, overweight, smoked 40 tabs a day, but could skin you, get to the line and put in a great cross. Always liked him for Forrest and Scotland. Loved him when he was with Martin at us as a coach.. RIP John.

The reason it didn’t work out for Clough at dirty Leeds was because the first time he met the squad, he told them that they’d won their titles and medals by cheating.

There was no coming back from that.

Here's JR on the Scottish 1982 WC song. Some wrong un's in the photo (Brazil) but Asa front row next to "Cindy Lauper". No idea who the other "birds" are.

I was at that game. It was midweek after the Sat match had been called off due to a flooded pitch. A few of us travelled down on the Saturday and only found out about the postponement when we arrived in Nottingham. It was a long way to go for a few pints, only to turn around and drive back again ! RIP John Robertson, the original fat winger.

Aye. It wasn't Hegarty it was Ray Stewart (WHU). Curly hair is Allan Evans (Villa) and I would have never have guessed but according to a good Scottish pal the "lady" next to JR is Eddi Reader (its got to be......perfect), but I'm not convinced. Piper TBC. Who's between Wark & Brazil. Archibald?

Think it is George Wood ex East Stirlingshire keeper.
Is that Rough behind Asa.
The woman at the end has the same type of gear on as the the other lady next to Asa.
Fairground Attraction were big late 80's.

Met Robertson a few times twenty or so years ago and he was sound. RIP.

Well done on GW. Aye that's Rough pre Scouser perm. I only know Eddi Reader from Fairground Attraction. Seeing her like that gives me strange thoughts like seeing a photo of an older relative in their golden year(s).
