I'm saying is varane injured or has the manager left him out of the squad, if so he deserves to get sacked

Oh right..

The FFF said in a statement that scans had confirmed the initial diagnosis of Real Madrid team doctors who estimated their player would be out of action for up to three weeks.

"Given the unavailability time considered too long against national team deadlines, (coach) Didier Deschamps decided not to retain Raphael Varane for Euro 2016," the FFF statement continued.

"As a result, the coach made the decision to integrate Adil Rami in the list of 23."

Ah cheers @Fabulous

Laporte may have been starting for France this summer if he hadn't crocked himself diving like a complete balloon in the under 21s a couple months back.

Doesn't look like many people believe in Peps choices. We could be fucked before we start.

I'd like to trust his judgement as I'm sure he's had a say in the matter. No concrete proof we are in for him yet either.

We'll sign Stones and he'll go on to be a club legend. He's young, mobile, can defend well and is very good on the ball. Loads and loads of potential at the age of 21! This will be a signing of Rio Ferdinand proportions for when he went to United. Get it done.

By experience, I am referring to them being slightly raw in the defensive sense. Little things come over time. I don't see any top team having two 21 year olds as their main centre back pairing.
I didn't foresee any relegation struggling team win the premier league the following year until Leicester pulled it off. Until these things happen, no one ever sees them coming.

That said, seeing as Hummels and Subotic were both 22 turning 23 when they stormed to the Bundesliga title in 2011-12, it doesn't strike me as such an out of this world feet. But regardless, we have Komps and Otamendi, so I don't reckon this will be an issue.

I really hope this one happens.

At least it shows that the club is acknowledging their mistakes by going after another CB, nothing wrong with that.

The sooner others admit as much the better; I imagine that's where a lot of the negativity comes from.

Quality player who'll be in our backline for years to come.

Mmm Boateng won the champions league next to Dante, not to mention a world cup. He's really not bad when I've seen him.
He is a top 3 CB in the the world. It's really silly season when fans think a top 3 CB is shit.

I mean you could argue he is overrated, fair enough. But to claim he is not a good CB is not worth responding too.

He isn't a great defender. What he is, is a good player. I am hoping that Pep can makes Stones work similarly, because I think stones can't defend at all. But if Pep gets it right, he may not have to all that much.

Huth and Morgan are no better and they just won the league. Not conceding many goals along the way. It's all about the system they play in.

Stones is young, which for me is what Pep wants. He can be moulded into the player pep wants him to be. Into the system he wants to play.

I hope we sign him. Future England and city captain

Not bothered if he costs 50p or £50m either.

Hopefully not. But I think it makes it extra vital to have Hart in goal to direct the backline.

You don't think Utd will get him? Chelsea were in for him last Summer so Mourinho must rate him. And they need a central defender

Mourinho and EL, or Pep and CL? And possibly (hopefully) the chance to learn his trade alongside Kompany, as opposed to Smalling? If it's a straight choice, I'd say we have the upper hand.
