I've been away from a while, but look! The Euros have ended and now things are starting to happen with Stones and City. It's almost as if a certain Everton fan told you this would happen, yet some of you (not all) preferred to stick their fingers in their ears.

What, we didn't sign him whilst he was away at the Euros? Do you have next week's lottery numbers as well?

You stated there had been no negotiations. We'll never know whether you were chatting shit or just making stuff up.

More importantly, are you the taxi driver collecting Bony?

Others had stated there had been negotiations, a price had been agreed, a contract had been agreed, it would be announced as soon as the Euros were done, etc. I said this was not the case. Stones stated his interest in joining City and that was the extent of the situation. Once the Euros ended, negotiations would begin.

I wouldn't be against Bony coming here. I'd prefer we looked elsewhere and got someone like Slimani, who we've been linked to for months and months. But as uncommon as exchange deals are, if we were to get £40m + Bony for Stones, I'd be happy. I certainly wouldn't value him at £20m given how he's underperformed for you, regardless of why.

So the Mirror is running a separate big splash that Koeman is already at odds with the board? Silly question really, that would only apply if it was us selling Stones.
+1
Also says, right at the top of the artlcle in pretty large print, that Koeman wants to "End Bony's City Hell"
YCFMIU

Hearing the Bony exchange may have hit a big of a snag over wage demands. Everton wanting City pay a percentage of his wages after the transfer.

I'm sure the numbers will be chucked into a spreadsheet with a number of different variables, and they will come to a decision. Only thing is, these things are never quick

Koeman is currently boozing in Alderley Edge so now would be an ideal time to start negotiating with him!

Pellegrini can subsidise his wages if he wanted him here that badly in the first place.

That is exactly why player exchanges should never be done

Stones under performed for you,so where do you get this £40 million plus Bony price tag from ?

Is Bony going on loan or permanent?

It's a bit rich to value Stones at £50+ million despite having a very poor second half to the season and not even getting a game for England at the Euro's and whilst playing down Bony's valuation.

Bony has performed at a far higher level in the PL than Berahino, Deeney and arguably Benteke and they have all had bid rejected of £20+ million.

In a market where James Tomkins, Ross McCormack and Dwight Gayle are all valued at over £10 million, its fucking ridiculous to not value Bony at a minimum of £20 million.

In that case Everton have to pay him 100% of his wages. A reduced fee could be a way round it of course but we cannot pay a portion of his wage every week like in the past with Fowler and Adebayor.

Possibly mate, I don't know the rules around these things. Just passing on the word

Wasn't it you who said money was no object to you now and you can get who you want no problem?
Stones underperformed for you so 20m should be enough for him then
