There have been some really decent partnerships there. Kompany and Lescott being the best. Some dross too. But I'd just like to see Stones be a proper mainstay like Kompany has been and give us a settled defence back again.

Personally underwhelmed by this one, mainly because I haven't particularly rated Stones during his time in Everton. Here's hoping watching him regulary changes my opinion of him, but my God if there's a club that needs a centre back to work out for it, it's us. Forza City.

That 6 year contract is a rarity in football these days. The only players I think we gave it to are VK and KDB. Just looking at that you could see how much the club rate him and want him for the future.

From his look in his interview video you can clearly tell he just got done tearing up. Probably welled up after signing the contract with Txiki. He looked so genuinely happy for having to join us, didn't even try to keep it nonchalant. I like the look of that. Here's to Pep turning him into world class defender!

Was just going to post similar ,just had a look at the daily mirror great shots of a genuine player happy to have signed ,compared to that prick at the swamp ,private jet,flash cars ,body double for haircut shots and posing all moody like a wannabe gangsta
