John Terry [Merged]

I've dithered about whether to post this or not...especially bearing in mind how some folks get treated on here. Terry's agent has spoken to the press privately to confirm that everything will become clearer today. Not ground breaking I know but Terry putting in a transfer request was not denied by his agent.

Re: Chelsea reject Terry offer [Merged]

Morning Fulhamrd mate and welcome.

What City are doing here is very very clever.

Yes we want Terry, who wouldnt, a born winner and a leader.

If we pull this off great but if not we have still won and let me explain pal.

We are now flexing our financial muscle to the point where the money on offer at City is way beyond what anyone else can sustainably afford. Yes you might keep Terry but he now knows the type of package that we are willing to give and believe me he will want the same to stay at Chelsea. We are upping the anti for all the so called big 4 in this country because all of your future targets i think its fair to say will be of interest to us as well. Money talks mate and for you to get them will mean paying much more in both transfer fees and wages than you want. You will then have the rest of your squads banging on the door asking for parity or they will be off.

This is ecactly what you boys did to the rest of the prem when Red Rom entered the fray and now its exactly the thing that our owners are going to do.

The question is, does Red Rom have the finances and more importantly the appetite to take us on?
I think Roman is definitely up to it, and probably will have the finances to match City. I look at it like, City's owners are ridiculously rich and will put a portion of their wealth into City and Abramovic who isn't as rich will put a higher portion of his wealth into Chelsea.

I reckon City will have the edge in terms of spending, Roman will definitely be up to it- he genuinely loves the club according to my mates from the USA Chelsea fan club who were visited by the man himself for a match last season. I think if there is any doubt in terms of finances, Roman is draft in a partner.

I also reckon that City will be similar to Chelsea in that once they have built a squad that works there will only be two or three additions every season, rather than adding massive names every year.

Top post by the way, mate.

Have to say, I reckon it'll be between you and us in a few years. United can fuck right off :P
Think your right mate, like ive said the bid for Terry has a much bigger meaning than just getting him, and for me im going to say that you will keep him but at a cost.

As for the rags, liverpool and the Arse, they will always be strong. Its only a matter of time my friend before other people on a par with our owners join in the fun.

Thats why we have to make hay whilst the sun is shining.

We have a lot of catching up to do and we have to do it fast!

I'm really nervous right about now. Never been like this for a transfer, especially an outgoing one.

You really are very misinformed about Harding. I really dont know where it comes from.

And you really think things were stable at Chelsea before Roman arrived ?!!!!

Your fellow Chelsea fan says he saved the club from administration and you then brought in Vialli et al, so maybe I got it from that.

As for stability, I look at your league placings and see that you never finished outside the top 6 after the 96/97 season. Seven years of that before Abramovitch came in?

As we were yo-yoing up and down three divisions during that period, I'd say it's the kind of stability we've only ever dreamt of.

WUM, Rag, prick...can someone please put this posters mobile number and picture on here so we have hassle him and ruin his life?

Seriously, thanks URG. Intriguing.

Good to have some rival fans from another team making sense, answering questions and giving opinions fairly and without insults - doesnt happen enough on here.

Personally i dont think we will get Terry, but again we are raising our profile having a big name even think about moving to us, no matter what people think the name of Manchester City is better known now. I have always thought it is a smokescreen for our real business ie Tevez and Lescott.

Good stuff URG, I honestly say I fucking love my club!

Possibly so but look at the stats...

Abramovich : About £8 billion (Early in 2009, The Times estimated that due to the global economic crisis he has lost £3 billion from his £11.7 billion wealth.[4])

Mansour: His personal wealth is to be "estimated" of around £33 billion with a family fortune of around £550 billion.
