Seriously though Robinho was at REAL MADRID ffs and he came to us... Tevez at the SCUM! looks certain and Eto'o at Barcelona (EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS!!!!!) and he looks on his way. There's no way you could say Terry wouldn't come because were not 'Top 4' yet because he could help make us that this coming season.

Someone made a post in this thread with regards to the captain for next year. With all the new players coming in who does everyone think will be the captain? You have Robbie, who was the first big name to join following the takeover that has spawned all of this, Kompany has the support of some on here that I have seen, but with all the signing he may not even have a starting spot, Superman clearly is blue through and through but is extremely young, Given the ole vet in the net, then you have the others, if all of them join, such as Barry, SWP, Eto'o, Tevez, Lescott, De Jong, Toure, Richards, Bridge, Nedum, etc. Personally I would go with given or Robbie, but at this point, but that is just one guys opinion.

robbie was desperate to leave madrid! he was on the way to chelsea untill the last minute!

tevez didn't want to stay at the rags due to not playing enough!

eto'o wants fucking fortunes and barcelona will not be held to ransom due to their wage structure!

john terry has a few good seasons left, he doesn't want a project IMO he want's champs league and a good world cup. he is also a very very wealthy man so money is no issue.

if it is done i will fuckin love eto'o at our club but refuse to be delusional about the circumstances surrounding his arrival!

let's talk about actual possible targets/additions.

OK maybe Terry is a bit pie in the sky but our interest is well documented in January.

Robinho was a transfer based on the right place at the right time and I think Tevez and Eto'o are of the same category.

Actual targets/additions? I think any one is possible IMO and signing Eto'o in particular would highlight this. I am however sceptical after the hype surrounding Ronaldinho and Kaka.
