A British gambler placed the biggest bet ever on last night's World Cup semi-final - and lost the lot.

Ha, serves them right. Don't care how many millions you have, that's not exactly the best bet in the world.

I'm pissed off when I lose £20 in the fruit machine, god only knows how must that feel...

A message for anyone considering placing such a large bet.

Please stop to think about what you're doing before you waste such large amounts of money. Think about what that money could have been used for and the good it could have done.

For a start it would have been enough to allow me to stop having to drap my tired ass into the cesspit from hell that is my workplace. It could have allowed me to spend the rest of my days doing what I love best - feck all.

Can I just ask that anyone wanting to place such a large bet consider giving me the money instead. I will tell everyone I know that you are fabulous.

Thanks
