Mirror trying to destroy his relationship with Mancini, as if trying to drive a wedge between Tevez and Aguero wasn't enough. Pure scum.
Mancini blanked me says City crock Johnson (show me where he says that)
Leicester new boy Michael Johnson has revealed Roberto Mancini left him out in the cold at Manchester City.
Midfielder Johnson is the latest big-name arrival at the Kingpower Stadium, after joining on a season-long loan to be reunited with his old City boss, Sven Goran Eriksson.
The 23-year-old has seen a once-promising career derailed by injuries, with his last appearance for the Manchester club way back in October 2009.
He suffered a serious knee injury in December of that year - a matter of days before Mancini took charge - and has failed to figure since his return to fitness.
Johnson says the Italian, who has forged a tough-guy reputation at City, has not spoken to him this summer.
“I have not had much contact from the club," he said. "It has been like that for quite a few of the players.
“It had been arranged at the end of last season that I needed to go out and get first-team football.”
Johnson, once a target for Arsenal and Liverpool after a stunning 2007-08 season, admits he has a point to prove.
“Hopefully the injuries are all behind me now,” he said. “I believe I can go even higher than I was before.
“It’s all on me now, it can’t be anyone else. I’ve got to work hard.
“This is similar to what’s going on at Manchester City. Coming here was an easy decision.
“The object at Leicester is to get into the Premier League. Manchester City have got big ambitions, but so have this club.”
Johnson is expected to make his Foxes debut in Saturday’s glamour friendly against Real Madrid.
