aj`s best role is as an impact player off the bench which is normally how mancini plays him. when he starts hes normally quite poor but seems to make of an impact when he comes on with 20-30 mins left.

Never understood this point , as a fit young man who has played football all his life , why can't he make an impact in the first 20mins?
Because that's what tends to happen when he starts he is really involved then simply vanishes for the rest of the game. He is talented but not consistent enough over 90 minutes to start each and every week.

Are players really as distant as it seems when they refer to Roberto as "the manager" or is it a respect thing.

It's the way it is, you don't hear players calling managers by their names. There has to be a working relationship between players and managers, as towards the end, they aren't friends actually.

TBH, if Johnson can rediscover the ball skills he had in his first season, I would gladly keep him.

I dont go shouting my mouth off anymore, said AJ in his interview with the Sunday Mirror

You've changed your tune. I seem to remember you championing Johnson on how important he would become

Anyway, I'm a fan of Johnson and he's going to be important to us. He scores from the bench, I can't see anything detrimental in that.

and defenders are tired at this point.

the gameis also stretched which means he has more space.

really good coming off the bench.

Well said AJ, sounds like he's recognised he needs to knuckle down a bit.

Still reckon he can be a great player for us
