Agreed talent wise best we have and a true box to box midfielder, he showed us how good he was when teamed up with Elano and I can see him producing that form again if he gets fit. The brief appearance he had as a sub forget who it was against when he showed the flair and time and space on the ball hasn't been lost. Don't give a shit what other fans think about him IMO better than Ireland but wish he had Irelands dedication to fitness.

Hope he can come back fit and with the same ability he used to have. He really needs to be cutting that weight though, he's had it on him for a long time - why don't the club have him on a special diet to fix that?

Well said Damocles. Chazmcfc you stupid man, Jonno didn't go out there and deliberately get himself injured. The lad worked hard to get into the first team and has been unlucky with injuries.

He is a good lad, a great ambassador for the club 99.9% of the time. So, like many another young lad, he got involved in a minor incident and you are condemning him as if he had done a Joey Barton. Jonno is working hard to get himself fit for the new season, give the lad some encouragement instead of running him down.

last season, (or the one before) at spuds I was sat in the prawn sarney seats, the guys next to me were raving about how good jonno was and how they would love to see him playing for spurs, he really made an impression on those guys, even though we lost

We're talking about one of our players,one of the best to come out of our academy,who has had a nightmare with injuries but is now on his way back to fitness and,hopefully,fulfilling his undoubted potential.He needs encouragement,not some fuckin daft off the cuff hollow comment from the likes of you and your likeminded cronies.FFS,support the team!
 
I was at the game earlier in the season where he came off the bench against Scunthorpe and netted that 20-25 yard curler.

Just shows you how good he is when he puts his mind to it and is fit.

Love how all the middle age married posters who spend their Saturday nights watching X-Factor, Britains Got Talent and then Match of the Day before nodding off at 11:30pm are claiming that these stories of Johnson being out most nights in the past were bullshit..........

I think he's a talented player but i couldn't give a rats arse if he played for us again, for the wages he was picking up he should of been hitting the physio room daily and not hitting the bar to get fit. Being out for 10 months is hard enough without painting the town blue 3 nights a week.

I wish him all the best in getting fit (for the 4th time??) as a player like him will be a valuable addition to the squad.
 
If I was in my early 20s and injured I'd still go out and get pissed. When you're young it's easy to get hammered and still work hard the next day. It might not be ideal but hey when you think of the likes of Merson, Adams, Gascoigne and Best and on and on...
 
Personally I'm really crossing my fingers, hoping we'll see our number 6 back and being able to develop further. He really is a special kind of player and the type we've really been missing. Nice that he seems to be happy in Abu Dhabi, might be the environment he needs to cope mentally with this shit luck he's had.
