Jonny Evans

He's coming by the looks of things folks, so wind your necks in and support it. He will be better than Mangala and as good as Stones and Ota. If we are wanting to play with 3 CB's, we need another one in. Who else is there? All pundits Iv heard throughout the day have had been nothing but complimentary re Evans. The morning show on talkSPORT were having a cut of the ungrateful type fans that are denigrating him, just like the ones on here. He is a leader, can read the game, has bucket loads of PL experience, is two footed, and is a fighter. He will at the very least do a job for us, and Stones will hopefully learn to cut out the fuck ups when having more experience around him. I can't believe I am standing up for him so much, but some of the crap being spouted here is pathetic and shows up the level of knowledge that exists on Bluemoon.

And when you have come off the crack pipe free to post again.

why? would be a bit fucking boring if everyone had the same opinion on the forum

Bet you were on of those who thought delph would have been a good squad player pmsl

I listened to the hysteria on talksport with everyone slagging pep for this potential signing, they did the same thing last year when chealsea bought David Luis back and that turned out ok, Evans is definately a uninspiring signing but I'll give pep the benefit of the doubt and trust that he has a reason behind this, if it's our last signing I'll be a lot more disappointed than if Alexis arrives shortly thereafter

Iv hardly sat with an eagle eye studying Johnny Evans over the last few seasons. I'm going on opinions that actually have, pundits, ex managers, ex players and West Brom fans. All of whom have gushing in praise not only for what he offers on the pitch, but also his qualities off the pitch.
He is a defender in the lescott mould, good in a defensive set up,stick him in a high line and we might have well kept lescott

I really need to dig up the Craig Bellamy thread. It’s this all over again. Solid signing.

I am certainly not overwhelmed about Evans coming but im all so not blinded enough to not understand the purchase of him and the reasons why.

He is going to be 4th choice its not like we are relying on him to win us everything.....

If he signs he will get my support but he's not the signing you are making him out to be

He's injury prone for a start and will imo be a short term answer to a long term problem

He's also not as good as Otamendi but that's opinions

Stones will learn from Vinny not from him

He's a leader of inferior players not the standard of players we have

Don't want him but will support him

Leicester's record transfer is £29 million for Slimani, a forward. You think they'll pay 25 million for a CB? You know the answer.

Yeah i do. They didn't think he was worth more than £10M and i will go on record as saying they are right.

Hate this man will never support him even in a city shirt dirty red rag. Before anyone says anything my choice I pay the money end of ctid
