£18 million bid said to have been rejected, yep read that slowly, £18 MILLION!!!!!!!
Probably end up paying more for Jonny Fucking Evans than we get for the Mangler

To all those still bigging up mangala
1 he is shit
2 cant defend
3 can't attack
4 no composure
5 Valencia don't want him back
6 no one else wants him and No obe will buy him

He had one good game against Chelsea
But then everyone worked out he is shit

Evans may not be great but he is an upgrade
But there again so is Titus bramble

And yet he's going to Juve, go figure....

And how much will they pay?
Same as Valencia no doubt

How often does he play for France??

Face it we know it pep knows it
He aint up to it
He is a liability
In Peps system I completely agree. Not saying Evans is better but Mangala is almost the antithesis of a Pep CB.

I guess at this point the only hope is us not agreeing on a fee with WBA. Fingers crossed we don't.

We're not going to sign two more foreign players, so I don't see why the CB has to be homegrown, though? Why can't we e.g. hijack Sanchez (Ajax) instead? Or take a punt on a younger CB with potential from La Liga or Serie A? Or even Championship?

Baffling.

That's bollocks. He's using a back three all season? Really?

It's not bollocks at all

Whether we play 3 at the back or not, it doesn't make any odds - my point was based on the high line, one on one defending and the large spaces he will have to cover

If you really think that our system now is similar to the way we played under Hughes/Mancini then, I don't really know what to say

He is like sakho
He looks great for palace but in a good team has crap
But like Andy Carroll is
Looks good in a poor team

I could be wrong here but from what I seen of the guy at Ajax he rely a lot on his pace when he gets into bad positions
whether that improves is the key
And the prem is a tough place to learn

This has got to be we need a home grown replacement for Mangala, which means we may have a couple of foreign signings sorted.
I hope its not true and i'm sure there are better home grown options out there but
In Pep I trust.
Hopefully Nzonzi in for me.

This actually makes a ton of sense. Allows us to get in more of our 'priority' guys who, of course, aren't homegrown.

This is the reason why this is probably going to happen I think. The club must be ultra confident of getting Sanchez which will take a large chunk of the transfer budget and Evans is HG, premier league experienced and in terms of cost is relatively cheap in todays transfer market
