Of course I would prefer VVD but if our priority targets lay elsewhere then I think Evans would be a good squad addition.

The rag link aside. He is a decent defender and let's be honest.....we have really good/potentially great defenders in Stones, Kompany and Otamendi.
We can hardly expect a world class defender without selling at least 1 of them. CB is not a position you rotate a lot.

If/When we next time want to sign a world class CB....it will have to be a Kompany/Otamendi replacement.
