Ok. Just to put it into context. That is a clip from 2010. He had been a United player, under Ferguson, for 3 years. After that season he played under Ferguson for a further 3 seasons until Ferguson retired. He then played 2 more seasons until Van Gaal sold him. So Ferguson had 6 seasons to decide whether he was shit enough to get rid of him but he decided to keep him anyway. Now, if Ferguson thought he was worth keeping and Pep thinks he's worth buying then I'll go with those 2( what did they ever win?) if that's ok.
Not as if they ever signed any shit players between them.

He was good in the Premier League. WBA didn't spend the season only playing Leicester home and away every week.Being good in the West Midlands is not necessarily what we are after these days, although I don't deny there once was such a time

There's no pressure in the PL? Whether fighting for a title or fighting relegation, the pressure is the same mate.no pressure /simple tactics/Pulis doesn't rotate....this helps Evans look good at WBA

But,
A) They are 2 of the most decorated managers that ever lived, so someone must have had confidence in their decision making despite buying the odd shit player.
B) Can't think of too many players they bought, played and kept playing for 6 years all the while knowing they were shit.
C) Name me a manager that never bought a shit player.

I'll admit I know fuck all about Evans, but I did a bit of research into him as I couldn't see Pep allowing Mangala (who we already own) leave, just to replace him for twice the money with an older, injury prone clogger, who's as slow as a stoned slug.It just seems that way when you watch them.
I mean, I assume all the Evans naysayers have followed his career closely, and are calling him shit based on solid personal personal experience of actually watching him?

When Pep was asked about Evans as far as I've heard and read he's just said he's a West Brom player and didn't clarify he was in for him...
He said we are in for another defender so that rules out Evans:-)

The circumstances are entirely different. Txixi is Pep's mate, we moved heaven and earth to get him to be our manager, and I cannot believe for one second that he does not have the final say on transfers. If Evans is coming then it'll be because Pep is happy to have him

I was pointing out that he has been excellent according to the wba fans and some people on bluemoon saying he's been shit to suit their reason for not wanting him
I`m sure every club in the premier has a stand out player, it doesnt mean those players are good enough for our squad, especially 29 year olds who wouldnt walk into any of the usual top 6 clubs. Lets get this right Jonny Evans is mediocre at best.
