I'm sorry for my childish posts. I did watch him last season. I thought he was very good actually. Marshalled a defence very well, assured on the ball, probably their best defensive player. My problem with Johnny FUCKING asshole shit SHIT COCK Evans is that he is not worth the huge sums banded about, he's not a top player and if he does come to us it's to be 4th choice. In other words he's looking out for a last pay off before retiring. We have history with players like that and I'd much rather see a younger player grow into the role.

Johnny FUCKING asshole shit SHIT COCK Evans is a stop gap. I thought we had moved on from this type of player.

See...I didn't even mention his love for United. Not once.

But at 30m+ it just doesn't make sense anymore, if we are paying that much it means he's probably not 4th choice which means we might see him against the big clubs. This is a risk and his lack of pace will get exposed. Making him useless for 30m when we can just pay 50-60m and go and buy a top CB.

If you are happy for him to come in and rotate for the cups, then you surely think he cannot be that bad, whether it be free transfer, 5 or 50 mil, his ability doesn't change

The thing is we wouldn't pay that much for a 4th choice CB.

His ability "changes" depending on opponent.

For 15m, he's 4th choice and I'm happy to see him play against Fulham, Sunderland, or Newcastle. Where he could do well as the opponents pose little attacking threat.

For 30m+, he's seen as possibly even 2nd choice, meaning there is a chance we could see him against Liverpool, Napoli or Chelsea which would give me a heart attack. He would be targeted, Salah, Mane, Mertens, Insigne, Hazard, Pedro/Willian see him and Otamendi on the team sheet and they are given a major confidence boost.
 
The only reason I can see us buying him is so the guy in front of us in 116 can hurl abuse toward now Kolarov has gone...

Apparently the guy in 116 personally asked Txiki to sign him so he had someone to moan about.

City are very Customer focused these days .
