If he wants to come, he comes. If he thinks he'd prefer Chelsea, then he's not right for us anyway and we'll walk away.

How many times have we been pissed about by Italian clubs?

When will we ever learn to either pay their asking price and get the deal done, or not get involved with Italian clubs and their lunatic Presidents at all.

First Fred, and now looks likely Jorginho.

Chelsea and more so London are a big pull for Brazilians.

Since when are Shaktar Donetsk an Italian club?
 
Fair enough if he heads to Chelsea trust in our management, danilo and kdb have played cm before and could play there again if needed plus the fact fernandinho was epic last season I believe he is more then capable of repeating that form this year. And I'm sure we have other plans.

Let’s hope so because not improving the squad isn’t a great tactic.
 
Hopefully we just avoid dealing with Italians from now on. You can't really negotiate with them. Its either pay asking price or fuck off

I don't think it's a big deal because I don't think he's that good. Obviously we'll need someone, whether it's another 8 with Gundo moving to DM or a DM.

I'd rather we go bigger if we can eg. Pjanic, Verratti, that calibre of player
 
If a player would rather join the current Chelsea side rather than the current city side then it tells you all about them. No ambition. Any player with hunger for success in their belly would die to join us right now.

Maybe Chelski have shown more 'desperation' to sign him so he feels more wanted by them than by us - if he chooses them at this stage then he was never truly 100% committed to us - at this stage we need players who will 'die' for us on the pitch and on the bench - so who he chooses now is the final test of whether he's right for us or not - still a win, win situation for us imo.
 
I'm honestly not that worked up over it, but to spend several months working on a transfer only to lose your top target to Chelsea over £2m is really bizarre. We spend more than that on random 19 year olds who will never play for the club. Either the reporting is way off or we've been incredible naive.
