Jorginho

Personally Don’t think either are good enough if we want to become a true elite side. Walker has too many brain farts and Danilo is just a squad option.
Who is good enough then. Huge amounts of right backs available there. You have unrealistic expectations.

It is likely Sarri will be installed in the next 2 to 15 days, depending on what progress is made by Chelsea in dealing with a €20m Sarri release clause being insisted by ADL.

In the meantime, ADL is in no hurry to sell Jorginho, irrespective of having brought Fabien Ruiz, mooted by some as a replacement.

At the moment. ADL is more focussed on sorting out Cavani deal with PSG. Not offloading Jorginho. Signing Cavani is the top of his priorities.

I’m no expert on Italian labour law but the fact that Sarri was Napoli Manager but that role has now been given to Ancelotti - doesn’t that mean that Sarri is redundant? How can Napoli demand £20m for someone who doesn’t have a job? All feels a bit odd but then again so is Italy.

There are likely to be a number of managerial release clauses in place that we are unaware of.

Not really, as long as Napoli are willing to keep paying Sarri they're free to move him into a different role and install Ancelotti as first team coach.

I can assure you I have considered this no better than 50/50 for the last three weeks.

City will do the right thing by pulling out if they do not believe he is worth more than their maximum valuation.

If they do, I will fully respect that decision.

ADL is not nice character to deal with.

Agreed, City will walk away if the deal (transfer/agent/wages are too high)

Always a nightmare negotiating with ADL, let's hope their is a positive outcome soon

The legal concept of Constructive Dismissal pertains in Italian Law and your glib hypothetical scenario would be a prima facie example.

It would depend on the role and the stipulations of his contract. If they're not allowing him to do any coaching work and it was a permanent employment contract, maybe. It's a fixed term contract though and we don't know the parameters of his role.

The contract could also have a cooling off period after cease of employment that Napoli would have to waive before he could take another head coach job.
