Every single bit of it. Sounds like a right spoilt little shit. Not one club in this league conducts business as professionally and precisely as we do. Not one. That’s why we are on the back of a record breaking season, hopefully embarking on another. It is also acceptable though that players may want to go to other clubs, be it money, location, whatever. There’s an air of we have a divine right to expect players to sign, and come across full of shock when they choose to go elsewhere. As another poster pointed out, it’s very raggish and full of entitlement.

Our transfer dealings are perfect in every way. Long may it continue.
You tell him Frank.

This is going to end up with him holding a Chelsea shirt up before the end of the day. Will be funny to see who we will let go on holiday next year, to spice up the transfer window.

This would be strange given Conte is the current manager.

What is he going to say in the presser - always wanted to join Conte's project etc etc...

There is a way to go on this.

How do we manage this every single transfer window these days? Think the club need to have a long hard look at themselves and see that we are still not as attractive as we seem to think we. This attitude of take it or leave it is clearly only about 50% effective at best and although we've dodged a couple of bullets it will eventually fuck us over like it did with RVP. Maybe not on an incoming transfer, maybe it'll be Raz or Leroy or Jesus leaving.

DM is the position we absolutely HAVE to get right this summer and the management have pissed about with it. Allowing him to go on holiday allowed even the car crash of a club that is chelsea to sort their act out, line their guns up, and not only make a push but beat us to the line. Oh but Shak the player has messed us about. Yes of course he has, thats what players and agents do. They're bloody incentivised to do so. I work with people who do the exact same thing you just have to minimise that risk by giving them as little opportunity as possible. Not letting them go on a 15 day holiday to the other side of the fucking world. If they say thats not cool them you fuck them off then and gain 15 days of negotiating with your next option.

and the worst part is now we're going to have to spend 2 or 3 times as much to get a player who was our second or third or fourth option.

How exactly were City to stop him going on holiday when they haven’t signed him?

+1

Let go on holiday ? How do you propose we stop them ?
Chain them to a post and force them to sign! No but maybe if everything is agreed get it in writing instead of just a verbal agreement? I don't know I'll leave that to those who deal with it for a living. At least it adds some drama!

Napoli are sly, they have proven in the past to be dishonest. They reluctantly agreed a fee with City weeks ago and the player had agreed terms but they weren't really happy with it and their president made everything as public as possible in order to get interest from other parties that would pay more. They are playing Chelsea here just as much as they are playing us and to be honest both should walk away. Napoli are trying to get Chelsea to cough up as much money as possible to take their manager when they have already appointed another! and Jorginho has been dragged into it now. The only thing City did wrong was wait as long as they did, the delays were a clear indication that Napoli were up to something regardless of what the player said about playing for Pep etc.

The minute the chairman/president's start shooting their mouths of City should always walk away they are just trying to pump the price up and get more interest.

Certainly not too upset over this one. And can't wait to see who we get instead. Personally I'd get another left back - preferably Bertrand, and have Delph as dm rotation with Fern. That way we can then keep Zinchenko
