A couple of things I've noticed from he new video posted are that firstly his positional sense is very defensive (this is a good thing). He seems to mostly operate in a narrow band across the pitch (the middle third) with great discipline. Without pace to back him up this is probably very important.

Sedonly looking at his passing (which is obviously very very good). He plays the balls into the areas where Pep wants them.....think about where Raheem and Sane often run into...those diagonal runs off the side in the the spaces behind the back four near to the touchline/edge of 6 yard areas....this also got me thinking about Mahrez.....we know sterlings one to one finishing aint great but Marhez on the other hand is very good. Sane not great but you get the feeling he will improve and he is streets ahead of sterling at this point as well in that respect......the likes of the forwards could the an absolute field day with this guy basically playing the quarterback role. Sergio, Jesus and marhez especially (if he joins). Sergio is probably one of the best strikers in the world playing on the shoulder of the last man....something he doesn't do now as much with Pep in charge but i do wonder if this is another string to our already considerable attacking bow

1st half:
Pros: Always available for possession. Neat interplay, always looking for a pass to play too. Played two particularly excellent dinked balls over the top, the kind Sané or Jesus would love. He's tying this 2nd string Italy side together well.
Cons: Bad first five minutes, dispossessed and a poorly hit pass. Completely misread an interception opportunity later on in the half too and ended up way out of position.

Decent.

Italy's finishing was really poor. Overall a bad game of football, but not as bad as the Brazil - Croatia one

40 mins gone not seen him touch the ball.

He's dangerous with his assists mate but doesnt look strong in the air and lack of pace is a concern....Dont see him covering or being a long term replacement for Fern and I think thats our biggest need. Good player that fits the system but with so many wonderful passers of the ball already in the squad, I think a strong, high energy DM is a bigger need...

if you have watched this match. You'll see he is constantly running. He might not be as fast and agile as Fernandinho. But he is running just as much.

Good thing you spot quickly with him - is the way he mixes it up - unlike a lot of good passers he’s not always looking for the killer pass - quite often he plays it short and likes a give and go. I think he’ll really improve us, but it might take him a little while to settle in, so patience will be required.
