Jorginho

Without being funny is that such a bad thing??

I think yes, because their skills are limited.
They are good passers only, nothing more.

If you compare them to Yaya, Kante, Fernandinho, Matic, Frenkie De Jong, or even Gundogan you will find that those are good dribblers, they keep the ball well under pressure and many other qualities they possess and not only good passers.

Does Jorginho not keep the ball under pressure. Also Carrick did alright (unfortunately) medals wise given how limited he is.

Matic and Kante are predominantly defensive midfielders. They are somewhat limited players. I don’t know about Jorginho and de Jong but Yaya (2-3 years ago) and Fernandinho have a lot more in their game.

Not a big fan of him

He is the Brazilian Carrick.
Considering Pep is a big carrick fan and said he is only united player that would have got in his barca team, and compared him to Alonso and Busquets, then a Brazilian Carrick sounds made for a Pep team.

More Gundogan slagging in this thread, which I don't understand.
Give him a regular place in the XI and he always excels. Rotation doesn't suit him quite as much, but he is still perfectly adequate as an option for a top side. Plus, it can take a while for players to get back to their best after a long-term injury. He's an important player for us and I think when he leaves, we'll all realise he was underrated.

The expectation is that Gundogan plays more and David Silva less. Similarly, Jorghino plays more and Dihno less.

Assuming both Ilkay (improves) and Jurghino hits the ground running.

In essence our middle 6 will be (Kevin, Ilkay and Jorghino as starters and David, Dihno and Foden as the backups)
You reckon? Looool :-)

I agree with this. Silva and Ferna will be slowly taken out while Gundogan/Jorginho getting more game time (Foden too).

“He is one of the best holding midfielders I’ve ever seen in my life by far. He’s the level of Xabi Alonso, Sergio Busquets in Barcelona and Munich."

@Tevez City couldn't have picked a worse player to compare Jorginho to if he wanted to paint him in a negative light.

Which player would you pick at his peak ?

Carrick, Yaya, Fernandinho, Kante, Matic or Jorginho

Yaya by a country mile, but who cares? It doesn't matter. What matters is Pep thinks Carrick is in the same class as Busquets and Alonso, so writing a player off as just "the Brazilian Carrick" is hilarious.

Also, take Yaya out of the list as he's a completely different type of player and the rest are probably on par, albeit with stylistic differences

Just have to reach the right price with Napoli. I reckon somewhere between £40m-£60m, under £50m would be great business but less likely.
