If the reported figure is anywhere near correct then Txiki has done an exceptional job, As fans we just want the deals done but he is charged with getting the players we want at the best possible price.

The wages reported are more like £140k/week.

In Italy, wages are reported after tax, the highest earning players in the country are on €6,5m. So when this Italian journo says €4.5 he means after tax. That works out at roughly £7.3m before tax or £140k/week in English reporting style.
