Ah, knew that part was what Napoli were struggling with, should have made it a loan offer with an option to buy. After having been turned down, few days ago, on their 45 million euros opening bid, Manchester City are ready to have another run at signing Italian international playmaking midfielder Jorginho (26), quite likely to leave Napoli after four seasons and a half. The request set on Brazilian-turned-Italian player amounts to €67m, and the clubs are supposed to meet each other in the middle, since Jorginho is eager to join Premier League giants for good.
I was told the deal was agreed and that said agreement will be announced today
I expect he will be in Manchester in the next 24 hours
Italian or from Serie A? Also he is Brazilian. Here's hoping he will be a success. Are there any other successful Italian players that spring to mind in recent PL history? In the last five years or so?
But..... Tolmie said last week.
Tolmie has been quiet this window? Probably with us only going to sign a couple of players
No, no, Napoli will want a loan with an option to buy Zinchenko. That should knock a good £15-20m off the asking price
The odd cerveza of espanol origin has been known to have the tranquilo effect we love and desire. That, and I'm at my usual Vilamoura hot-spot prior to Wimbledon starting soon :)

Thanks for your posts TH.
Yes, Fred all day long.....even down to the aggressive way he plays (had 13 bookings and one red card in 19games last season) Perfect match for the way Fern plays and why I believe we were after him in Jan. In my opinion, we didnt change to Jorginho because he is better, it was more a change in transfer planning and we prioritised a Yaya replacement over cover for Fern....What we shouldnt forget is Fred is also a good passer of the ball so wouldnt have been much worse off in that area either...The only negative I can find is how tall he is but as Jorginho isnt known for winning headers, clearly that wasnt a big factor.
The report below is more about how he fits in with the rags but talks about his strengths, which compare very closely to Fern...I think Fern gives us alittle "steel" in the middle and that is important in the prem...Think Jorginho will be a great signing and fits the system just dont believe that he fills our biggest need.

"Fred is renowned as a box-to-box all-action central midfielder. He has previously described his role at Shakhtar as "the conductor" and has both the pace with the ball at his feet and the passing range to drive quick-fire counter-attacks and transitions from defence to attack.
With those skills set alongside his physicality and aggression - he picked up 13 bookings and one red card in 19 appearances last season - Fred would be a powerful presence in United's midfield. Able to contribute both defensively and in building attacks, he's been compared to Fernandinho and was reportedly a target for Manchester City in January"
Fred was Shakhtar's top tackler last season, averaging 2.9 challenges per game in the Champions League, and played in this holding position as part of a 4-2-3-1 formation in both of the Ukraine club's clashes with Manchester City.
I know pace doesn't mean much with the way we play but he looks Gundogan levels of slow.
He looks to play like a Gundogan more than a Fernandinho?
Would have preferred Fred or Fabinho myself but Pep know's best.
