Another one I'd liken him to is Thiago Motta who I think was an incredibly underrated player during his career. I've also heard some people mention Pirlo but I don't quite see that one.
Definitely. I see him as a Silva/Fernandinho hybrid and should do a good job filling in for either. I think he'll play pretty frequently with David not playing as much next season, but I fear he will eat into a large amount of Gundogan's playing time. However, I think we'll see Gundogan rotating with Kevin more often than not because Kevin was looking knackered from March/April forward.Think Xabi Alonso in his prime with a little more defensive grit.
