If Txiki had gone straight in with what they initially wanted they would have moved the goalposts and wanted anything from £65m upwards.

He's done a good job in today's market getting him at the agreed fee.

Whilst £1.5m is a lot of money I would point out we have no idea what went on. It could have been £10.5m saved. Who knows?

We don`t half have some bozo`s on here.I`m glad they`re not in charge of our finances.We have no idea as to how the breakdown of money will be paid and for all we know Txiki may have had to work on a lot of scenarios that suits our needs.

Over double what I earned gross in my 38 year working life, starting at £455PA in 1968.

It all depends on how much money we've spent on teas, coffees, croissants and danishes while negotiating with them. If it's anything less than £1,500,000 then we did a great job.
