Jorginho

Sanchez has not yet made his mark at United, and the fact that we coasted the league made the Sanchez transfer easier to comprehend He no doubt will come good. Jorginho could become the new Fabregas and lead Chelsea to a good crack at the title do we still think the business of playing about through summer to and fro to save 2-3 million is the way forward Does it make the player feel wanted i doubt it

Yes.

Is there any evidence that Jorghino has cooled his interest in the move, or that Chelsea of the 2 managers fame have moved on the scene.

The 2 things to remember is De Laurentis is more against everything than Boris Johnson and has less negotiating speed and subtlety than David Davies, although the transfer may go through before April 2019.

As to Chelsea entering the scene, can anybody point me to a credible source other than the rambling Alfredo Pendulla (the Italian John Cross) who tweets a new italian rumour every 27 minutes. His rambling was that if Chelsea were to come in and outbid us for Jorghino it might make De Laurentis more inclined to release Sarri more cheaply.Pedulla has less credible sources than Jamie Jackson although he does have better written English.

Pedulla's tweet was seized on by every rewrite merchant in Calcutta, Mumbai and Lahore and appeared on every 5th rate news outlet as fact within 24 hours. Chelsea with Marina Granovskaia in charge are looking at a management restructuring which will end with one manager, a new technical director, a strategy for handling the fall out from retreating from the redevelopment of the Bridge and keeping the unable to work in the UK Abrahomovich on board. I do not see now as the best time to get in a pissing contest with City.

There is flapping on here on the scale of United entitlement or Everton anger. The same group of players who enjoyed 2017/8 will still be here in 7 weeks.

And several such as Gundogan, Bernardo, Mendy, Jesus should be ready to play a bigger role this season for differing reasons. Then of course we have one or two decent young players & would still have money to spend.

I think the majority of our supporters understand this, but there are always those who feel that the club fuck up on transfers, taking little or no account of the greed of the agents and selling clubs when City move in.
Yep, those days of chucking money at clubs are over. We had to do it at one point to get where we are today. It's something united are doing now funnily enough. We have one of, if not the best teams doing our transfers, so I'm happy......just fuckin hurry up! ;)
To be honest, I just ignore all the flapping. Anyone who has ever tried to buy a big money item knows the score. The seller starts high, the buyer starts low & they generally meet somewhere in the middle........ That's until ManUre step in & offer an out there figure.

Everyone will try to get the best deal for themselves, but I don't subscribe to the 'He's only going for the money' jibes aimed at ManUre. It wasn't that long ago when that was the main points of hatred aimed at City. At the time it suited our business plan, just as it suits ManUre's as they try to narrow the gap. It just is what it is.....

Big gap though

Seems to be the same news from a few days ago but they've added that Chelsea are now willing to pay the 60mil euros and its now upto Jorginho. With Jean-Michaël Seri reportedly in London hopefully its Seri and not Jorginho that ends up with Chelsea...

#ChelseaFC’s reported willingness to pay €60m for #Napoli midfielder Jorginho could finally send Maurizio Sarri to Stamford Bridge https://www.football-italia.net/124207/jorginho-sends-sarri-chelsea … #CFC #MCFC

"However, the newspaper believes an agreement rests with Jorginho, who had been heavily linked with Manchester City.

It is claimed Chelsea are ready to offer €60m for the Italo-Brazilian – some €10m more than what Manchester City were willing to pay"

He hasn't been waiting for 'a' move.

He's been looking forward to moving to City. Sanchez would have got his move. Alves would have got his move. Mahrez will get his move & Jorginho will get his, if they play along.

If suddenly they see something else they fancy, they won't have to ask us to hurry up as City will tell them to fuck right off & we won't miss either.

It would be their loss.

They can't be sure of that. This is their career, we can't expect them to take such big risks and take our word for it.

"IF" true, maybe the Jean-Michaël Seri in London rumours is a meeting with us and not Chelsea?....as he has a release clause, it should be alot easier/quicker to get that done and we've reportedly shown interest in this window. Not arsed either way but whatever happens it should atleast be a interesting week(at last!) ;)

Players arent like fans. There aren't many players playing for there boyhood team, supposedly Aguero and KDB grew up as Liverpool fans. Fans would play for there club for nothing. In Sanchez case we had agreed a fee and contract. According to the media, he is being paid double to what City had agreed. Being able to run his contract down meant he also got a signing on fee equivalent to the size of a transfer fee. Is that not going for the money. Which I dont blame him as he decided he wanted the money at the rags over trophies here.

I thought Seri had been linked with Arsenal as well, so he might be there for them.

It must be nearly done as they are now going through the motions of such such a club are gazumping us at the last minute.
I think it is what it sounds like, the press trying to ring the last clicks out of a story thats nearly over. I think he's ours.
