Isn't this the same source that was saying the agreement with Napoli was done and dusted? I have a hard time believing that the club are still wrangling over €2m after all this time, unless Napoli have moved the goalposts. A lot of these sources have just felt like opportunistic pieces in light of the Chelsea news.

In any event, this has been one of the most tedious transfers in recent memory.

Well if a player would rather join a wank side who aren't even in Europe over what looks to be the greatest PL side ever then fuck him.

Players arent like fans. There aren't many players playing for there boyhood team, supposedly Aguero and KDB grew up as Liverpool fans. Fans would play for there club for nothing. In Sanchez case we had agreed a fee and contract. According to the media, he is being paid double to what City had agreed. Being able to run his contract down meant he also got a signing on fee equivalent to the size of a transfer fee. Is that not going for the money. Which I dont blame him as he decided he wanted the money at the rags over trophies here.
Sanchez stands a reasonable chance of winning trophies at Old Toilet, but like you said players are commodities & clubs a source of revenue. I fully understand the stance being taken by City & Sanchez.

He's thinking about the money first & chance to win trophies second, when City want players who have their priorities the other way around. In this respect I fully support our stance, because none of our players look short of a bob or two, & they also have medals to keep a smile on their faces...

Exactly what De Laurentiis wants, a bidding war between clubs which will drive the price. Hopefully we don't have another sanchez and get this over the line.

Still think this is just media talk and the deal is done hence why he's in Brazil now but he would be a perfect fit at Chelsea, Sarri or no Sarri.

When you have finished your career it is always good to look back at something you helped to create. Medals and trophies are part of that history.

That's more that a little subjective, Chelsea are 14 months from being English Champions and pretty much everyone thought they underperformed last year. If the deal comes off then that's good, but I'm sure there is a plan B(although atleast by the sound of things this is already plan B), hopefully we haven't wasted 1000s on hours that could have been deployed more productively elsewhere.

Pjanic - €50m. HaHa

Juventus would start listening at €75m.

Anyone could be excused for thinking we still have an FFP problem to contend with.

And we haven’t.

God I hate italian clubs.
We really need to get a club in that league so these transfers don't take so much of the piss.

Jorginho. I wrote ages ago that there was a fear Sarri to Chelsea could scupper things, but had assumed Chelsea’s mess & fact City agreed overall valuation with Napoli about two weeks ago had made that irrelevant. Now, if Chelsea are in, City’s other approach comes into play...

That approach is City’s decision to only sign players who really want to play for them. With Fred, United offered more money, he was happy with that offer, City wouldn’t match it. Similar to Alexis really. Now, if Chelsea are in for Jorginho, he’ll have to say it’s City or bust.

It's weird that you're taking so much pleasure from city having a bit of an issue.

Very strange behaviour...

Cast your minds back to the kdb transfer.
It went something like this...
We've agreed a fee. He's joining next week. He isn't training with Wolfsburg. They want more. It's off. He's back training with Wolfsburg.
Now we have something similar.
When stories come out it's stalled or another club is in for him then you know it's in the bag.
He'll be a city player by the time we go to the states.

Best way to go. Love the approach from city.

We had to pander to players in the early days of the takeover, but they are long gone and so have the type of character such necessity attracted.

If you don't want to accept our terms, which will be very attractive anyway, then you aren't the player for us and we move on.
