Jorginho

I said this earlier, but Jorginho's been waiting around for a month and a half for us to finish off the details of this move, eventually as a player you're going to get itchy feet and wonder why the club seem so indifferent to signing you quickly and will haggle for 2 months over 2.5m. He will have seen how Sanchez waited all summer and then didn't get his move last year as well.

Then someone offers you the same money, the same high prestige league, a team that's won 15 trophies in 15 years and you get to stay with the manager who made your career take off. And the Mrs. is happy because it's in London too.

Yeah I get that, it's just an odd move considering the lack of Champions League. But, it wouldn't be without it's merits. It wasn't a post about Chelsea being a terrible option by the way, or that people should only wamt City, just that at this time, from a footballing stance, City are a more attractive option.

Guess this is why we have been so interested in him..

Nainggolan: "My toughest opponent? I'd say Jorginho. He always plays in small spaces, with one-metre passes. It's difficult to keep up with him or to try to cut out his passes. You get very tired because he distributes the ball very quickly yet he remains practically still".

I'd be more than happy with that.

So would I but considering how much it appears City are looking to spend, they may indeed be looking elsewhere - although I can't see Kovacic being sold for less than Jorginho. De Jong does not look to be going anywhere this summer so. Yet, I am certain there is a great prospect being considered as an alternative - may not be the popular option but if Pep targets them, they are a legitimate pivot

So hes javi garvia with less pace?

Quite a few reports saying Juve are paying for Ronaldo by selling Higuain and Rugani to Chelsea.
Add to that Jorginho, plus the fee for Sarri and the pay off for Conte and his staff......it's a lot of dollar.

A lot of transfers probably depend on Hazard. After last night he might want to go somewhere he will win the biggest prizes. Does the new Madrid coach want him? What then Ascensión, Bale?
If Chelsea get 120m for him then they can start to rebuild.
