Your absolutely right. For me his general play within the system is ok, at times very good. But even though I can be a bit of an aologist for certain players, I can't defend the reality that he needs more goals. He has all the tools to do it.

I think you need to be able to tackle. That isnt one of Gundogwan's strengths.

I'm not convinced we do a personality check at all. We tried to sign Alves who is a massive twat, then we tried to sign Sanchez who is a massive twat and now it turns out Jorginho who we've been trying to sign is also a massive twat.

We would have to blink first. We spent 6 months getting these two deals on the table now we have ~4 weeks and anyone selling knows we have already missed one target so they can jack up the price.

Think Sam's right and we'll just crack on with what we have.

Definitely he’s got the tools all I’m asking for is improvement on this year push a little more. With mendy we’ll be able to play with kun and Jesus together at some points in the season like last year and those killer crosses mendy delivers I can only see kun and Jesus smashing in loads of goals in from them
 
Don't think we can rely on Fernandinho to constantly run around as He is 33. This is the age where players start to decline physically. Not sure gundogan has the defensive steel to be our starter there either. Think the fact that we spent months trying to sign a Dm shows we need one. Really hope we get someone in.

I thought Delph looked good in that role when he played for England in a friendly at Elland Road. With better players around him he can excel even further.

I think at this point they know if someone is available and we look desperate to sign them I.e kovacic their price goes up but if we see someone who is in our price range and qualities we can use then I think then we’ll be willing to spend. Since we arnt in a position of beer and we just want someone then it plays in our favor.

I thought or I have been saying the same thing. I've been swayed a bit though by some of the posts I've received. Gundogan can sit in there and if he catches his dortmunD form, happy days. Further foden was mentioned. My initial thoughts are that the position may be too soon for him. However, if we are looking to rotate the position between fern, gundogan or possibly De Bruyne, I see no reason why foden could not slot into one of the number 8 positions, say if De Bruyne was asked to sit in there. I would rather strengthen but any option that gives foden and opportunity also works for me.

Yeh we had that for a few games before Mendy got injured. Completely on your wavelength fella.
