what an utter twat,,wants ndj banned for as long as it takes ben arfa to play again...he and plenty of others should watch the tackle again...no malice what so ever

Why didn't he or any other Newcastle player claim for the the foul at the time? It was a strong challenge but it was fair. There was no malice and accidents like that happen.

This x10, why wait to see what the papers say before making your view on the incident!

dont remember seeing an instant response to the tackle...in fact dint the ref blow up for a foul on milner.....?

-- Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:45 pm --

De Jong's challenge broke Ben Arfa break leg in two places on Sunday and Enrique believes that the Dutchman's punishment should match the time Ben Arfa has to spend on the sidelines - reported to be at least half of the season.

''They should ban De Jong until Ben Arfa can play again,'' he told the Daily Mail. ''De Jong shouldn't be allowed to play football. His tackle was criminal. He already injured another player (Stuart Holden) last season. If it was Rooney who was injured instead of Ben Arfa, they would make an example of him.''

"his tackle was criminal".....FUCKOFF....he should look at some of the tackles made by the newcastle players this season...

yeah Ben Arfa was just sat there, then their 24 fouled Milner then the adrenaline rush must've worn off for Ben Arfa cos the pain suddenly hit him.

Just watched it again and the ESPN commentators both say that it's a strong but fair tackle. Plus there's a few challenges during the game where Barton flew in with some strong challenges, but just like De Jong's they were fair. There's one of these about a minute after play resumes from the tackle on Ben Arfa, where he lunges in at De Jong.
