Remember going in the old monkey on sat nights and having a few Regal (lager backwards) and it was £1.10 a pint. Pretty shit but was bollocks'd anyway!!

saw an old mate,a Manc btw,dying for days after about 10 pints,
on a New Years Eve in Glasgow.

Only been in Old Monkey twice so far, beer was utter Shite....the second time was as part of a pub crawl and I ended up on the whiskey because I refused to drink their beer!

Breakers was lethal, me and my mates used to drink it along with a bottle of Thunderbirds before we were old enough to go in the pubs. I had a full night on both after we beat Charlton 5-1 to get promoted when I was 15 and I never touched any of them again, just thinking of 'em now is making me feel a bit queasy.

We used to go in The Bradford before the game and drink Holts bitter, it did get gradually worse and in the end we moved to The Townley. My lager drinking mates wouldn't touch Holts' Lager.
