There aren't any really 'bad' beers...as said before, it's all down to how they are kept and served....that and personal taste of course. Like all drinks (and food) it's simply down to what tastes you like or don't.

Ahh it must have taken the marketing people a long long time to come up with that well thought out name for a beer "regal" lager spelt backwards......genius

Indeed, dont ask what they called their CIDER!
A well kept pint of Holts represents amazing value in todays over priced beer market IMO, lovely stuff

holt's bitter was class back when we were hard up. a cheap night playing pool in the holt's houses of eccles were the order of the day, rat-arsed pissed for just over a tenner. the lamb hotel, the old bull's head, the park hotel in monton, cloudie's. many a decent night amongst those shitholes.

give it time and my old man (blue10high) will add his two pence worth.

Kev how you know me,I used to drink loads of the stuff when I lived in Manchester it was £1.02 a pint at the time. First pint always a bit dodgy but after that it was necter of the Gods. Took an old friend a very good drinker for a dinner time drink was moaning all the way down his first pint at 3pm his legs had gone and he could not walk. To this day(ET his nick name) will not drink any other beer just Holts

dad, what was the boozer at the bottom of church street that ET used to drink in? me and you went in after darts one night and an ex of mine asked me back out while her boyfriend stood at the other end of the bar! i'm sure it was the bull's head.
