Joshua Kimmich

The problems with Kimmich are while he is quality, he is slow in a slow league, sounds familiar eh. he is also on a massive wage, similar to KDB but KDB earned his pay at City. If we brought Kimmich in even on a free, he would soon be part of the problem.
I agree with this,I’d rather bring in hungry young players with the desire, energy and pace to try and help us win stuff,Kimmich may have the mentality but does he still have the hunger and desire..

I don’t see what’s wrong with 29?

All that experience but you’d prefer someone that’s 2 years younger without it.

Kimmich is a great player, some of you lot are delusional.
He is a great player, I don't dispute that at all, or that we would be great for us for a few years.

It's the fact that we have a big age gap in our squad. Taking aside Gundogan (34) and KDB (33), most of our players who have been playing or could play in central midfield are a similar age: Kovacic 30, Bernardo 30, Grealish 29,
Add in those covering: Stones 30, Akanji 29.
And Rodri is 28.

Then we have a gap, and taking aside Nunes everyone else is 24 or under.

So in my view if this squad refresh is supposed to be a proper rebuild, with some thought to succession planning, you don't want to store up more problems in 2-4 years' time by buying another 29 year old.

But assessed purely as a player in his own right, Kimmich is class, obviously.

Exactly. I would also want all our signings to have a edge about them. I want them to get stuck in and give it them back

Does anyone watch the Bundesliga regularly? Is he still in favour and playing well? Would be a great signing; has wonderful versatility. Seems too good to be true though.
