Pep has already said he sees Josko's future in midfield and we certainly need somebody as well as Gonzo in there with Rodri & Kova both crocked. Dias Stones, Khusanov and Ake can cover the CBs. Time to give him a try.

Gvardiol is having his worst spell in a blue shirt at present, even though he chipped in with a toe poke recently!

His passing out of the back has been dire and his decision-making at the back has been suspect.

If anything, with Stones being fit and able, Josko is lucky his “promotion” isn’t to the bench not the DM position Nico has really grown into this season.

Feels like the club has decided to move Stones on, which is why, even though currently performing like one of our best CBs, he’s only getting late game cameos to shore up results!

Ignore current form and get him into midfield. Lads a natural baller who would thrive there. Spent too long at LB and now at CB. Couple of indifferent matches doesn't make him a bad player. Too much over the top negativity going on this forum at the moment.
Negativity? On Bluemoon?

Our central players (eg Gvardiol, Dias, Nico, Bernardo) need to move the ball faster into attacking positions.

If Gvardiol in CM instead of Bernardo and someone else in LCB instead of Gvardiol is a better combo to achieve that faster attack then I'm all for it. But I'd be surprised.

I'd be more inclined to replace Dias with Khusonov and Bernardo with Stones, OReilly or Nunes.

In the league this year when Stones has started our record is:

1W, 3L.

He also came on for the last few mins at Arsenal when we turned a W into a D.

The Dias and Gvardiol partnership has been instrumental in turning our form around.

Meaningless agenda driven stats, unless he was specifically at fault, which he was not.

Football is a “what have you fond got me lately?” business. Josko’s answer would not be kind to him…and I like him!

Actually he was directly at fault for Brighton's winner.

And besides, losing 3 out of 4 games in which he played isn't a meaningless stat. It's the total opposite of the word meaningless.

He certainly has the ability, but not sure he has that awareness yet. Being in that midfield space is different to stepping into that space (see TAA). But Pep knows that position better than anyone
