There is obviously a big fear Sir John getting injured again before the WC and that isn't going to help us atall this season. Playing Josep DM isn't the worst idea. He is technically excellent - better going forward than he is defending 1v1s as the last man all day long. Him in middle with the 2 Nicos would make us way stronger in the middle and let Reindeer concentrate higher up the pitch where is is undoubtedly alot more effective. Switching with Phil and Jez around the big man. 4-3-3 vibe. Al nori/ Khus as fullbacks with Ruben and John in the middle

Having someone solely to "put his foot in and hurt a few" isn't what won us 4 in a row or a treble. Though it'd maybe see us having to play on the break more due to being reduced to 10 players, so not all bad!

Dunney was a good footballer, if he was 22 he'd be starting in this side.
 
I always thought Gvardiol was built for that position as he has the skills but he makes so many basic passing errors I'm questioning it right now. He has all the footballing ability in the world to excel, but its between his ears that might be holding him back.

I think Pep is seriously considering O'Reilly there and I'd give that a go first.
