Sounds good on paper but it’s fantasy football trying to sign all the best players and then hoping they gel together . Think they are using a piñata donkey to pick there next target .
If they haven't got a title winning team after the cherry picking of the last 3/4 years they seriously need to change their transfer policy as random stars are not producing a constellation in their case.

Spending a lot on defense but the midfield lacka creators, wingers don't create much, lacking goal scorers. Team does not have a real identity.
It’s a bizarre transfer window from Chelsea. As you suggest, loads of money spent without actually looking at what they need.

They’ll do ok this season, but all this money spent without a true plan may become a millstone in the years to come.

How do Chelsea plan on dealing with FFP or do they not have to as they are not City ?
I have that question in my mind for years -and for a number of clubs, not just in the PL. Including one in particular in Spain, and one in particular in France...

It needs changing anyway after the last 200 million dog shit splurge

Think FFP is gone and replaced by FPS. Basically in 3 years Chelsea have to show they've not spent more than 70% of their income.

But this year its at 90%, next year 80% and then it becomes 70%.

City and Tottenham are already very close to 70%. The rest of clubs have a lot of work to do.

Chelsea will get slightly longer due to the ownership change I expect. Regardless of the rules set.

Joško Gvardiol has signed a new contract at RB Leipzig until 2027.
No release clause.

Interesting move by Gvardiol - really supporting Leipzig in getting a huge fee while increasing his salary
