Richard Edghill playing for City at the Etihad?
Alan BAll signing Lee Bradbury?

And that is just in one day.

go on for anything apart from video and you'll be disapointed. all style no substance.

Is this serious? Our website is class, what do you expect it to contain?

Player Information?
Stats?
Archives?

Right now it´s just a mini-youtube which is great if you want to idle an hour away but try finding out anything about say a player and you might do better elsewhere.

All available to discerning Blues from some excellent and long-lived fan sites (including this one) whose hard work deserves to be rewarded by patronage. The OS providing all this info would be absolutely pointless and furthermore akin to building a supermarket next to a precinct of time-served shops. City don't need to tread on peoples' toes like that.

Best website in the world? I take great exception to that. my son is an aspiring journalist and whilst he clearly didnt learn from me, he looks at the city site and screams. apart from first class video and some decent images it lacks proper old fashioned journalism. facts, figures, stories. they rely too much on modern media.

Yes, i'm an old fart.

You can get individual player facts and figures on the website, for instance here's a link to David Silva's: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Players/Midfielders/David-Silva" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/Players/Midfielders/David-Silva</a>

That provides season stats and last weeks game stats.

Here's a link to the news section: <a class="postlink" href="http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News</a>

This has written news articles covering match reports, features, interviews everything.

Don't see any issue about the website really, covers every base you'd want.

You can't please everyone, best web site in world sport?
for quantity maybe.

In terms of social media and video, it's the best website in world sport that I've seen.

In regards to the stat side and investigative journalism side of things, it's pretty average.

Didn't City outsource the social/video section of the site to a specialised company? That would explain the disparity.

Fuckin´ell people sure like to complain. Honestly we have a great website and most people are envious of our coverage.

This! Try logging onto some of competitor's sites and you'll start to appreciate ours a little more. The only thing I've ever lamented the absence of is up to date injury info, and even then it could be City don't want our enemies having access to such info. It's a good site. 8 out of 10 job. Complainers; get yourselves down to McDonalds for a never happy meal!

the best stuff is written by Chris Bailey and Tim oscroft imho. I especially enjoyed the 'what the papers say' when written by the latter, as they were dripping with sarcasm and funny with it.

i agree that 'what the papers say' is sometimes very funny

i have to totally disagree about chris bailey though mate
he was rubbish at the muen & he's successfully carried on being rubbish at mcfc

this is from the website today - his oldham write-up...

"Jelovic missed from half a dozen yards when he ought to have scored then hit the post whilst and Nasri and Miner scorched efforts just wide of the target"

pissed-up rubbish (in my opinion)

And they still haven't updated that picture of Michael Johnson from about 3 years ago - hope there isn't a Dorian Gray thing going on.

Yeah look at some of the other Premiership teams websites. Amateur at best.
