They want him on loan for 2.6 mill, then two annual payments for the rest, We could do with full payment really to offset our spending.
its a buy or nothing iin my mind, they might decide at end of season to send him back, its a buy or sod off imo

It's an obligation to buy, not an option to buy according to reports.

Sorry to slag your club, but the way they behaved during the Benatia saga, City should fleece Roma all they can.

Good if it means a bidding war for Stevan. I really like him but I believe the injuries has stopped him cementing a place in the team, so would be happy to let him go.

got him for 22 million, and he's not improved since coming here, 18(.5?) in the accounts would make me really tempted. I honestly thought we had got a worldly when we bought him but I think I fell for the fifa hype.

If we are guaranteed the money we can account for it all at once though right? Like we've done regards Negredo.

Yes, so long as it is not add ons for example how many games he played etc

So if they are paying £18m this will count as transfer income this window, giving us the opportunity to sign someone else if we want to.

Anything that ends up being cloe to £20m and we should let him go. We don't need him, we could easily replace him and we could do with the squad place. As long as it's a loan with obligation to buy, instead of option to buy, then that's good enough.

Thanks for the link...google translate seems to say we've already got an agreement in place with Roma and club is just trying to work out personal terms with player...??

"A bolt from the blue, news of a strike that would disrupt the balance of Serie a. from England it appears that Stevan Jovetic would be close to become a Roma player. It is no secret that the City could leave from Montenegrin playmaker against an offer appropriate: S already has in hand an agreement with the club owned by Sheikh Mansur, and is treating the engagement with the footballer's entourage. In the light of the latter market bomb, strong interest in the supposed Salah would be considered a mere useful cover to hide the negotiation for the big shot. If Rome and Jovetic will find understanding on contract, the former Fiorentina striker will land in the capital"

I would have liked to have seen stefan stay injury free for a good period of time and realise his potential but the longer time goes on the less likely that looks. If we receive a good offer for him and we can bring in a replacement who can offer more than jovetic has done then Id take that. Isco on loan would be perfect, lacazette even better (not sure we can afford the latter though?), but I'm sure if we're even considering letting stefan leave we will have someone lined up. Could get interesting
