Inter will negotiate with City a loan deal + obligation to buy for between £10.7m-£13m for Jovetic after meeting his agent. (via @DiMarzio)
Muhhhhhaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha.
To get a player with Jovetic's potential/skills (despite injury problems) for around 12m pounds that can only ever happen if the seller is Man City.
Its one thing he flopped here because we didnt have a manager who knows how to use him tactically or just keep him fit and then trashed his confidence with CL axe etc, (or simply wasnt a good fit from the start that makes me question did Pelle want him or Txiki thought he could be good for us without really thinking to build the side around him as he was at Fiorentina.)
But if its true its such a big joke. 12-13m, we couldnt buy Matt Jarvis for that or Downing ffs. Stoke would ask that for Charlie Adam lol.
Jovetic is still a hot player for Italian clubs. Juve certainly can pay bigger amounts they will rake in quite big from CL money given they "steal" a lot from Italian market Pool as Roma finished early while Napoli didnt even get into group stage while Juve got very far. They could be making nearly 2x as much from CL as us or any other English club.

We don't have a leg to stand on when negotiating if the player wants out, or is at least open to a move, and we don't even play him.
My thoughts as well.
I reckon we will struggle to make 50m on outgoings this summer.

Italian clubs are skint and won't pay big money, other than possibly Juventus. You can only sell for what a club will pay. Inter and the rest have to abide by FFP as well.
As an example Chelsea loaned Salah to Fiorentina. They'd have sold him but Fiorentina didn't have the money to buy him. But because he's done very well there his price has gone up.
If you want to sell you have to sell to the Premier League if you want good money. Sunderland offered £15m for Borini but he wouldn't go because he'd only leave for Italy. Liverpool only had loan bids on offer.

(Adebayor+RSC are prime examples even tho they didnt go to Italy.)
Its like a regular part of their summer transfer window system to loo at City squad and check who they can get for some laughable price with quality.
De Jong+Tevez two very good example.
Combined 15m fee for these two.
When we have a reputation like this, there is no doubt about clubs offer us laughable prices for players. Getting a player like Jovetic for 10-12m, he is on the younger side too, with lots of potential, thats a fantastic deal for the buyer club if they can do it. If they do it with loan+option thats even better.
Jovetic cost us about 23m pounds, 5 year contract, his value now around 14m. In accounting terms we wouldnt make a loss on him or only 1-2m loss. But believe me many other clubs would make a nice profit on him even in this same scenario.
But I would wait for the new manager, who knows, maybe he would say he needs Jojo and also able to find his space/role in the team. Clearly Pelle was never thinking on it much. If Pelle stays of course selling him is the best idea.

City's problem in the transfer market is 100% attributable to the BTOOTW attitude that the vast majority of City fans applauded in the years 2010 to 2013 when picking up players at inflated prices. Obviously the FFP regualations have now hamstrung the club.
Italian clubs, and to a degree Spanish second wave clubs (Valencia, Sevilla, etc) recognize this and realize that City are happy to sell at a discount because there is also the vast amounts that are being saved on the wage bill at the Etihad.
