Jovetic Vs Wolfswinkel?

Jovetic. He can play at attacking mid or striker so would give us more options and is generally a much better player proven in a better league

Silva, Nasri, Jovetic + Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, Guidetti would be fantastic attacking midfield/striker options.

I´m not sure why we need either.

As far as i can see the only area we could significantly improve in our attacking play is in the wide areas. Jovetic isn´t a winger, and Van Wolfswinkel is a goal poacher.

Jovetic if i had to choose one, but i´m not sure what he´d bring that we don´t already have, it´d just be greater depth.

Jovetic much better and it'd be reflected in the price tags. van Wolfswinkel would be our version of Hernandez, a talented backup... but we have our own Guidetti who is 3 years younger and did better in his one Eredivisie season than RvW did in any of his.

Barely anyone here saw either of them more than handful time, specially this wolfy guy
This, obviously people will watch more than just the premiership but I doubt many have seen either of these players on a consistent basis to form a judgement.

I believe seeing a player 7 to 10 times in one season is enough to form a sound opinion of the player.

You don't need to see 50 games or every game he played in a season. Even if one did, that opinion is not guaranteed to be any more sound than that of someone who has seen him 7 times.

We have to realize valuation of players is quite subjective. Many might not have seen a multitude of either Jovys or Wolf's games, but even regarding players we have all seen consistently, opinions vary drastically.

Take Lescott, Nasri, Milner, De Jong, AJ, and Kolarov for example. We have all seen then all at least 50 times each. Yet the opinions on each vary drastically, and changes constantly. So I don't buy into the "folks probably haven't seen enough of them argument."

Truth is my opinion, like any other fan's opinion, is colored by a myraid of factors. Hence why some will swear by the need for De Jong, while others want him gone, and others (myself included) think him a role player who's inclusion or exclusion is not significant.

But back to the issue. Jovetic is far superior to Wolfie.

so if you had only seen silva in february-march what would you think of him

Jovetic. Just based on the idea that we will use Jovetic more than we will employ Wolfswinkel.
