Jude Bellingham

And neither offer the same attributes. Philips is more of an aggressive clogger (has injury issues) and Bernardo is more attacking and doesn't like rainy Manchester. Might be off this summer?

On the counterattack, after playing corner kick perhaps. Are Rodri, Dias and Laporte blessed with pace?
I’m not sure Pep thinks much about pace as an important attribute.

I’m also not sure that we need to spend £100m+ on a player solely needed for his recovery runs.

i can’t think of an attack from one of our corners that has resulted in an opposition goal, but I may have missed one at some point.

Might as well say we don't need to buy midfielders to be honest.

We have two over 30, one always looking like he is on his way out every summer and still yet to find convincing understudies (who you would be confident about playing as an 8 in Champions league knockout games)

Maybe we shouldn't try to do things by half and take risks on injury prone or lesser quality players?

If we were prepared to spend £100 on Grealish don't see why we can't spend it a younger player of the same quality.

What are the alternatives in the market?

There have been many players coming through our youth set up in the last few years, not many gone on to greater things..Phil and Cole will be with us..The only two players recently I regret losing were Lavia and possibly sancho..sancho a rag so he can do one..100 million or there abouts for a 19 year old..There are players like Messi, you just know they will be great..Erling and Alvarez.. Barca have a couple now..Jude is good, but not 100 million good..at the minute !! He is no Paul Lake but could be the next ravel morrison.

I’m sure our scouting team know better than I. I merely can’t see what makes Bellingham worth £100m. Grealish neither, although he does have the ability to keep the ball better than most.

Maybe Bellingham is the answer. It just wouldn’t be for me at £100m+.

I would offer Barca £100m for Pedri if I was lent Tkixi’s special jumper for the day though.

Might be one of those players you couldn't buy even on FIFA videogames though. I'd say well clear of trying to buy anyone off Barcelona, they don't let players go unless they are on the decline.

Can't see anything in his personality that particularly screams "Ravel Morrison" myself, quite the opposite if anything

Not many qualms with paying top money for him either. Pretty sure we would get our moneys worth and then some one way or another, and he seems like he's got the character to handle a big price tag

Yaya was alright.

Yes. I thought you'd mention him. We bought a player who peaked after we bought him and didn't fit in their system within the first XI. Nowadays they have billion euro buyouts.

Apart from Yaya who has got better since leaving Barcelona after being a first team regular?

You're right.

The lad signed a new contract with Brum so they could sell him and bank the money. "Ravel 2.0" would have walked to the highest paying club in the prem and spunked it all on slags and drugs.
