I don't agree with most of that, sorry. Each to their own but I see Rice as an extremely limited footballer who occasionally churns out a very good performance. His nationality is the sole reason he's talked about for the kind of fees we hear. Bang average, imo.

He's been the standout player for a West Ham side that finished 7th the last two seasons, and has gotten to two European semi finals in a row.

The easier option in the sense of the easier league - I don’t think they’re mutually exclusive - most people think that La Liga isn’t as strong as our league - it can be both an easier league and it may not work out because of living in a foreign country etc
