It is how football works though. Barcelona, United, AC Milan, recently Chelsea have all had massive success with a large number of homegrown players in the last 20 years or so.
Players aren’t “naturally” more gifted because they were born somewhere hot. It’s a cultural thing and the culture in this country is and has been changing for a while. You don’t get Phil Foden and Jack Grealish 10 years ago.
We need to stay competitive, Kelechi was deemed surplus. García and Sancho left on their own accord. It’s impossible to predict whether players will make the first team and how long they will stay there. One thing for sure though, this is one of the strongest youth groups with probably the highest number of players who could potentially make it. Delap, McAtee, Palmer, Lavia are the creme de la creme. The Doyles, Edozie, THB, Trafford have decent chances too. Pathway to the first team is difficult to see for most of them, but if they get there who knows.
