To take his interview to the extreme, he knows City is about to get off on all charges and about to enter the market with a vengeance and alllll the money so he wants to temper expectations. It also means they’re priced out of Bellingham.

If you are an elite player with multiple options you simply ain’t gonna choose the club which last month had wall to wall media coverage that we are about to get relegated out of the entire football league.

It won’t affect every transfer but will for any elite players we are in for that can pick their club like Bellingham can.

I’m sure LFC not looking like they were gonna qualify for Champs League last month maybe kept us in the race, but as soon as LFC get top 4 sewn up Bellingham is done for them ( in my opinion ).

Just hope we move quickly on alternatives.
