Ill let Pep know that someone on Bluemoon knows the intricacies of how a midfield should run better than he does just before its too late and we end up bottom half next year, fighting with Burnley and Sheff Utd.
It is funny when people like you claim to know what pep thinks is correct. Someone let pep know that. for all we know pep agrees with my thinking. there is no proof otherwise.

Just got a feeling that this one is done if Liverpool get top 4. That’s why we’re looking at Mcallister and mount, although the latter is overrated. At 130 million it’s too much for potential. I hope we push for gvardiol for less.
mount is being liked by his agent to get him a paycheck. he is being linked with every top 6 team. the kovacic link is more reliable and is the kind of player we should be looking at if we want to replace gundo or bernardo.

I don’t care what he costs, he’s a player we need and appear to have an interest in. If we sit back and fail to outbid Liverpool in transfer fee and wages then it’s unambitious, small club mentality and leaves us weaker on the field next season if Bernardo and/or Gundogan leave.

Might as well lock the thread. ;-)

The media campaign is gathering pace.

Even Henry is part of the campaign.

its going to be funny if he doesnt end up there.

It might not be the worst thing in the world if we were to miss out on Bellingham. He's undoubtedly a talent but is being massively overrated in my opinion. We could probably get two top class midfielders for less than what Bellingham would cost. Kovacic for a relatively cheap fee and a swap deal involving De Jong and Bernardo would be very shrewd business.

Those who think this is done to the dippers. Ask yourself why are they publicly courting the player through their media schums. Not saying he doesn't end up there but if it was done the media would be quiet like they were when their previous signings were done. This is currently too public for them. Also if rumours are to be true why were his dad still meeting with club representatives only on tuesday.

In my opinion it will start becoming clearer after the international break.

I haven't claimed to know what Pep is thinking at all. What I do know is that there is no one better in world football at evaluating midfielders and building a squad capable of executing his desires.

I don't think you need to post on here ridiculous comments like;

"We cannot under any circumstance allow both gundo and bernardo leave at the same time and replace them with bellingham because he has no idea how to control a midfield."

Calm yourself down.

If Pep wants to sign Bellingham and play him next to Rodri and KDB, then he will.

Suggesting that Bellingham, KDB and Rodri would be incapable against Brighton and Fulham is outrageous.

Yaya, Silva, Fernandinho, Nasri, Gundogan, KDB, Bernardo, Rodri... he just doesn't fit in there
Neither does Nasri tbh. Pep would prefer Bellingham to Nasri due to his potential to be moulded, and his professional personality and excellent mental attributes (especially for his age).

Some things shared between Bellingham and Silva, Ferna, KDB, Gundo, Bernardo and Rodri are the excellent mentals: winning mentality, professionalism, determination, work rate, composure. These are the players Pep liked. Nasri he shipped out on loan and sold the year after. Yaya he sold at Barcelona after demoting him to a squad player, and then did the exact same at City. No one can question the technical ability of Nasri or Yaya but the mental abilities is a different story.

The idea that technical ability can't improve is just untrue. I do agree however, that Belligham's ceiling is lower than some think as technical ability can only improve a certain amount. He will be a great player though, and a player with Bellingham's mentals ensure that. Compared to Dele Alli, who people say had more talent, you can see what happens if your mental attributes are sub par.

We cannot under any circumstance allow both gundo and bernardo leave at the same time and replace them with bellingham because he has no idea how to control a midfield. with bellingham and KDB we will lose the midfield battle to the likes of Fulham, Brighton etc. they are not the right combo of midfield to have. we need a midfielder along the lines of gundo or bernardo in order to control the game and bellingham is not that guy. but if we keep one of those guys and add bellingham on top of that then I think we will be fine.

I just sit back and trust Pep and the club!
