Jules Koundé

Koulibaly close to PSG now , with them ready to pay what ADL is asking for

So kounde it is !!

Hope it goes thru quick now

I think this one will happen tbh. Monchi isn’t daft and has a track record for cashing in on his players for a hefty profit.

This was a shady thing to say, dissing our team

Sevilla Director of Football, Monchi: "If they [#ManCity] came back [for Jules Koundé], we would listen to them again and reply to them again. Knowing Koundé, I'm sure he's thinking more about Lewandowski, Muller, Sane or Gnabry than other things." [via

How is that slagging us off?, they play Bayern in the UEFA super cup so that’s why his mind will be on them.

lol no. He is refering to their game vs Bayern on Thursday.

Lots of clowns with no understanding of transfers or negotiations on this thread.

If you run a successful football club, like any business, a key part fo what you do is to try to get value for money with all your purchases. That's Txiki's job and he's done it very well so far. If we were to just panic and throw the asking price at every player we were interested in we'd be the club that many ill-informed balloons already accuse of being: a wealthy Arab plaything who inflate the transfer market. And we'd get done in every transaction we made.

We are clearly going to be signing a centre half and the club's track record is more than enough for me to be relaxed and judge them after the window closes. Many big deals - and these are worth enormous amounts of money - take time. You can't negotiate by appearing desperate.
The problem with that is that as we learned last season there's a limited number of players able to play in central defence for a title winning side

Literally just wrote on another thread how good he was. Granted it was one game and I have seen fuck all of Sevilla but wasn't imoressed by Carlos and was impressed by this lad.

I don't think Koulibaly has looked very good in Napoli's recent games either though. There seems to be a real lack of quality centre backs out there. And can't think of many sides with two top class centre backs these days.

I watched Sevilla three times, against Wolves, United and Inter Milan, and this guy, Kounde, looked quite impressive , as did their entire team, in ALL three matches .... I tipped them to actually win the trophy after the Wolves game because i saw how well they had defended and worked tirelessly for each other ... plus they have a fantastic Europa league record.

I've seen it quoted as "I'm sure he's thinking more about defending against Lewandowski, Muller, Sane or Gnabry than other things".

For context, Sevilla just qualified for the Champions League and Bayern are European champions so it's not necessarily a dig at City.

So, he’s homosexual. What’s the problem?

Have you lost your reading glasses today?

I mean surely we've just inflated the market with signing of Ake as correct me if i'm wrong, he's the most expensive player from a relegated team of all time.

For what it's worth, a standout game vs. Bayern would certainly add to his price, so I hope we sort this out before then.

I just feel we have another prick to deal with now. First ADL and now this guy. A professional sporting director doesn’t go out in public with comments like these. He just wanna look like a macho man. Could never see Txiki do the same.

And he seem to refer to the release clause of 90m euros. There’s no fucking way we’re paying that money for Koundé. He looks promising but we could have gotten De Ligt last summer with that money.

what? that's a completely benign statement lol

Yep, his words were just aimed at their upcoming confrontation in the UEFA Super Cup on Thursday with Bayern, and wouldn't have been any kind of dig at City.
