FWIW, Monchi and Txiki apparently have a very good relationship. We've done business with Sevilla many times, I wouldn't read too much into public comments.

You might want to read up on who Monchi is. He's probably the best and most successful director of football in Europe and definitely a professional.

Sevilla were in the second division when he took over, and the 5 Europa Leagues, sustained profitability and regular appearances in the CL are down to him.

Otamendi is going and Silva and Sané would simply be being replaced. We were already 1 CB light after Kompany left without replacement, and Garcia has told us he’s off, Ferna is in his last year (and not a CB), so why the angst?! Garcia’s not costing hardly any wages, and Ake probably isn’t even, or barely, on 6 figures, even if we doubled his B’mouth wages!

This could well be Pep’s last season, so if the Club want to win the two big ones, then they need to pony up,

You are consistently moaning the same shite, and frankly boring. It’s no surprise who liked this thread either. If a club has a player we want at a price we aren’t prepared to pay we don’t pay it. We may continue negotiating though. That’s life (when you aren’t a spoiled brat)

They are about to sell Semedo to Wolves and Suarez is leaving also.
 
He should not be playing against Bayern. Sane prob injury him on purpose. £60 million gamble for Sevilla.

To me KK is no VVD. VVD was sought after by many clubs even at the ridiculous fee it appeared to be.

I think KK is certainly an improvement on what we have, and has qualities we are missing, but I'm not convinced he's THAT much better than Kounde and is assured to hit the ground running. I think there will be more pressure and attention right away and a few bad performances (look at how Havertz is already called out after 1 game) and it will be tough.

If Kounde falters he's young enough we can sell for something to someone. If that's the case with KK he will be unsellable and we'll probably be stuck with him.

That's the risk, and partially why we likely won't pay the fee Napoli want.

Sevilla trying to get as close to that number as possible with Kounde.
